Mickie James def. Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes to become No. 1 contender for the Divas Championship
Divas Champion Maryse looked on from the commentary table as four of WWE’s sexy, smart and powerful Divas competed for the opportunity to challenge for the Divas Title at Night of Champions. To the French Canadian champion’s dismay, fan-favorite Mickie picked up the win by pinning Rosa Mendes, finally earning the chance to face Maryse one-on-one.

Nobody can run forever. That’s the lesson slowly dawning on Divas Champion Maryse.

Despite the conceited Canadian’s efforts to seemingly avoid Mickie James, the Divas Champion must now face her rival one-on-one in a title match at Night of Champions.

For her part, the four-time Women’s Champion persevered match after match, defeating Maryse in singles and tag team competitions, resolute in her determination to face the Divas Champion for an opportunity at gold. That perseverance finally paid off when Mickie became the No. 1 contender to the Divas Championship after defeating three other Divas in a Fatal Four Way Match: Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes. During that match, Mickie displayed the fortitude that has made her such a looming threat to Maryse.

To imply that Maryse will not put up a hard-charging defense, however, would be not only premature but foolish. With athleticism to match her beauty, Maryse has proven resourceful, cunning and willing to do just about anything to retain her place atop the Divas division. She may need to summon all of those traits in order to fend off her rival at Night of Champions.

What will happen when these sexy, smart and powerful ladies collide? Can Mickie finally capitalize on her long-awaited title opportunity? Or will Maryse use all of her craftiness to her retain her championship?

Mickie James & The Bella Twins defeat Divas Champion Maryse, Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes
Smart, sexy and powerful. The match pitting Mickie James & The Bella Twins against Divas Champion Maryse, Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes showcased all of that and then some. And while each of these beautiful Divas had something to prove, it was rivals Mickie James and Maryse whose dislike swirled around the ring. When the fairy dust finally settled, Mickie emerged victorious over Mendes.

Mickie James def. Rosa Mendes
Rosa Mendes has been studying hard under the tutelage of none other than Beth Phoenix. However, even with the in-ring know-how imparted upon her by The Glamazon, Rosa was unable to fight back the high-octane assault of the sexy, smart and powerful Mickie James. Following the fan-favorite Diva’s win, Divas Champion Maryse taunted Mickie from the ring apron, but escaped before her rival could get to her.

Divas Champion Maryse def. Kelly Kelly
Two weeks ago on Raw, Kelly Kelly defeated Maryse in a battle for the Divas Championship, but as the win came by disqualification, she was unable to obtain the title. The sexy, smart and powerful Kelly got another chance though as she took on Maryse once again, with Mickie James sitting at ringside to provide additional commentary. As the fan-favorite Mickie gave her opinion on both competitors, the Divas Champion defeated her opponent, ensuring that the coveted title will continue to belong to her. Following the match, Maryse added insult to injury by slapping Kelly, but was quick to retreat when Mickie entered the ring.

Mickie teamed with Kelly in the dark match where they defeated Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes.

On Mickie James and her New Career: Mickie James, arguably the WWE’s most talented in ring diva, is contemplating trying her hand at country music as Mickie has apparently written several songs and is preparing to do a demo as I understand it. This doesn’t mean Mickie is leaving wrestling whatsoever. I wish her luck if she decides to travel the country music road as it won’t be easy but neither was her getting in WWE.

The Italian version of WWE.com has released another new Mickie shoot before the regular WWE.com this time she’s wearing nothing but a bikini and looks amazing!

Divas Champion Maryse & Beth Phoenix def. Kelly Kelly & Mickie James
Just a week after disqualifying herself in a match against Kelly Kellty to retain her Divas Title, Maryse faced the blonde bombshell again in a match featuring four of WWE’s sexy, smart and powerful Divas. The Divas Champion joined forces with Beth Phoenix to take on Kelly and the fan-favorite Mickie James. With some assistance from The Glamazon and Rosa Mendes, Maryse pinned her rival, Kelly, to pick up the win.
