Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix reigned supreme as the sole survivor in the SmackDown vs. Raw Divas Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match in the spirit of SmackDown vs. Raw 2009.
Like the latest installment of the No. 1 fighting game franchise in the world, which features never-before-seen enhanced tag team action, the match proved to be as wild as it gets. In the end, the fast-paced match came down to a one-on-one confrontation between The Glamazon and the sultry Maryse, who the champion hit with her vicious Glam Slam, leaving the Canadian beauty thriving in pain as she picked up huge victory.
Also like the new video game phenomenon, which gives the WWE Universe the opportunity to pair Superstars who don’t normally compete together, neither Team Raw – Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Candice Michelle & Jillian, captained by Phoenix – nor Team SmackDown – Maria, Maryse, Victoria & Natalya, captained by Divas Champion Michelle McCool – were doing battle among the usual suspects. The tension this created became evident from the opening bell, as the WWE Universe stood witness to an overabundance of Divas tagging themselves in, and at one point, a cheap shot on Michelle by Maryse as the Divas Champion was exiting the ring.
The triumph clearly demonstrates Beth Phoenix as a dominant Women’s Champion. Her performance also raises serious questions as to whether anyone will be able to take the gold from the mighty Glamazon in the near future.

In a preview of this Sunday’s Divas Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match, Kelly Kelly took on SmackDown’s Victoria. Though Kelly produced a win with her rapidly improving in-ring abilities, the SmackDown Diva attacked her opponent after the bell. Kelly’s fellow Raw Divas ran to her rescue though, as even Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix put her differences aside to jump into the fray against one of her Survivor Series opponents.

Both members of Glamarella were forced to defend their titles on Monday night, with Santino Marella losing the Intercontinental Title to William Regal, and Beth Phoenix defending her Women’s Championship against Mickie James. The Glamazon was able to retain some of Glamarella’s glory, by defeating James and retaining her gold.

\Raw’s 800th episode celebration was also the setting for the biggest Divas competition in WWE history, a 16-Diva Tag Team Match. After the Divas made their entrance, the referee noticed that the team of Divas Champion Michelle McCool, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Candice Michelle, Eve, Brie Bella & Tiffany was short by one competitor. Luckily, WWE Hall of Famer Mae Young made her way to the ring, rounding out the team. Showing a complete lack of respect for the ring legend, Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix rolled up an unsuspecting Young, pinning her for the win.

Fresh off her win as Lara Croft in the Cyber Sunday Diva Halloween Costume Contest, Mickie James came to the ring, accompanied by Kelly Kelly & Candice Michelle for their match against the team of Layla, Katie Lea Burchill & Jillian. James continued her streak as her team dominated their opponents.
